Share to Another Computer or Phone Browser
Stream your Android screen directly to any browser on a computer or another phone — no cables, no extra software.
- 1 Connect both devices to the same WiFi (or enable your phone's mobile hotspot).
- 2 Open the Wimotely app and tap "Start Streaming".
- 3 Note the local URL shown on screen (e.g., http://192.168.1.x:8080).
- 4 On the other computer or phone, open any browser and enter that URL.
- 5 Your Android screen will appear in the browser — tap or click to interact!

Share to TV Using Cast
Wirelessly cast your phone screen to any Chromecast-enabled TV or smart display with a single tap.
- 1 Connect both devices to the same WiFi (or enable your phone's mobile hotspot).
- 2 Open the Wimotely app and tap the Cast icon (top right).
- 3 Select your TV or Chromecast device from the list.
- 4 Wait a moment for the connection to establish.
- 5 Your Android screen is now mirrored on the TV — control from your phone!

Share to TV Using a Browser
Open a browser on your smart TV, enter the local URL, and mirror your Android screen instantly.
- 1 Connect both devices to the same WiFi (or enable your phone's mobile hotspot).
- 2 Open the Wimotely app and tap "Start Streaming".
- 3 Write down the local URL shown in the app.
- 4 On your smart TV, open the built-in web browser.
- 5 Type the URL into the TV browser and your screen appears instantly!

Enable Remote Desktop Control
Turn on Accessibility Service to control your Android remotely — click, swipe, and type from your browser.
- 1 Connect both devices to the same WiFi (or enable your phone's mobile hotspot).
- 2 In Wimotely, tap the Settings gear and select "Enable Remote Control".
- 3 You will be redirected to Android Accessibility settings.
- 4 Find Wimotely in the list and toggle "Use Wimotely" ON.
- 5 Return to Wimotely — you can now control your phone from the browser!

About Wimotely
Wimotely turns your Android device into a screen you can open in any browser and control with a mouse. On the same WiFi it just works: start the server, open the URL. When you need to reach a device that is not on your network, Wimotely can ask your router to open the port for you, no router login and no manual port forwarding. Set a password and every viewer must sign in, so an exposed device stays yours. No cloud account, no relay server, nothing installed on the computer.

Access Wimotely From Anywhere
Set a password (do this first)
Open Wimotely and go to Settings. Under Password, tap Set Password and choose something at least 8 characters long.
Wimotely will not expose your device to the internet until a password is set. Without one, anyone who finds the address could view and control your device.
Start the server
Return to the main screen and tap START. Accept the screen-capture prompt if Android asks.
Write down the port number shown (for example 8080). You will need it in the next step.
Turn on automatic port forwarding
In Settings, find Expose to internet and tap Open Port Automatically (uPnP).
Wimotely asks your router to forward the port to this device. This only works if UPnP is enabled in your router - most routers have it on by default, but some ship with it off.
Read the result
Mapping established - your router accepted. Wimotely shows the public address to use, such as http://203.0.113.10:8080.
No IGD / no gateway - UPnP is switched off in your router. Open your router admin page and enable UPnP, then try again.
SOAP error / refused - the router understood the request and declined it, often because the port is already forwarded by a manual rule. Remove the old rule and retry.
Test it from outside
Turn WiFi off on a second device so it uses mobile data, then open the published address in a browser.
You should see the Wimotely login page. Sign in with the password you set, and your device screen appears.
If your carrier blocks it
Some mobile and fibre providers put you behind CGNAT, where no port forwarding can work because you do not have your own public address.
In that case use your phone’s mobile hotspot while away from home, and keep the port closed.
